On reliability of effective power estimation of main ship engines by various methods

The paper considers reliability of effective power estimation of main ship engines of internal combustion by various methods. They are as follows: fuel consumption, average display pressure in cylinders, average pressure in cylinders according to time, frequency of the compressor rotor rotation, pressure of supercharging air after a cooler, the maximal pressure of combustion, temperatures of final gases on the cylinders' output, a corner of the screw blades turn of an adjustable step and a statistical method of the standard complex.
