In the article factors influencing the mergers and acquisitions in the US market were studied. The purpose of the study is to analyze and evaluate the degree of influence of various factors on the number of mergers and acquisitions using the example of the US economy. The interest in the economy of the United States is primarily caused by the fact that the US is a world leader in the field of scientific and technological progress. A large number of M&A transactions occur in such segments as instrumentation, cloud computing, ICT, robotics, nanomaterials and biopharmaceuticals, the development of which is also a priority for the economy of the Republic of Belarus. Research methods: correlation and regression analysis and economic and mathematical modeling. The empirical base is the official statistical data posted on the websites of the World Bank and the United Nations for the period of 2004–2023. The result of the study was a model based on the linear regression method. To build the model, nine independent variables were analyzed, covering both global indicators of economic dynamics and specific factors of the business environment. After checking the factors for statistical significance and multicollinearity, a two-factor linear regression model was built on the base of chosen indicators such as tax burden and per capita GDP growth rates, which have a significant impact on the number of mergers and acquisitions in the US economy. The scientific novelty of the study is to assess the potential of corporate integration in modern conditions, which can also be applied to the Belarusian economy. The practical significance of the study lies in the ability to predict the development of these processes in the future and develop specific recommendations for improving the regulation of M&A transactions in Belarus. This includes optimizing tax policy, protecting investors' rights, and stimulating technological development.
