Genetic research of Sukachev's larch Larix sukaczewiidyl. In western limit of its natural areal

General characteristics, problems of systematization, and the areal of the Larix sukaczewii Dyl. within Karelia are presented. Data on the allocation of its valuable sites on the territories of the Republic and growth indicators of its natural population in Pudozhsky area are provided. Results of the larch selection inventory carried out by different organizations on artificial plantation sites are shown. Preservation and use of the allocated genetic resources of the species will allow creating high-priced plantations.
