Research of the characteristics of innovative production in the automotive industry of the Russian Federation

This research article analyzes the innovative development of the automotive industry in Russia, including the current state, key players and the impact of government policy on the development of innovation. Localization of production, electrification and achievements of the industry after the introduction of import restrictions are considered. Data on production, investment in R&D and innovation activity up to 2023 are presented, with an emphasis on import substitution.
