Study and comparative analysis of current methodologies for assessing the effectiveness of budget expenditures using a systematic approach

The purpose of this study is to study and compare current methodologies for evaluating the effectiveness of budget expenditures using a systematic approach. The paper considered the essence and features of the application of various approaches, including benchmarking with economic modeling methods, analysis of federal-level program documents, program budgeting and multi-criteria analysis of decision-making. For a clear understanding of the methods, the algorithm of their implementation is shown using specific examples in various situations. The results of the analysis show that each method has its advantages and can be effectively applied to assess the effectiveness of budget expenditures. At the same time, the work notes the complexity of their implementation and modification of some approaches. This study contributes to a better understanding of these methodologies and to determining their applicability in various situations.
