A study of changes in the number of residents of Novosibirsk Oblast’s districts

The article considers the issue of population stabilization in districts of Novosibirsk Oblast. Urbanization has been taking place in Russia for many years and leads to demographic challenges that require large state resources. Rural areas were an important demographic resource of the country, but today it is almost exhausted. The article is devoted to the problem of determining the influence of various factors on the migration of population from Novosibirsk Oblast’s districts. The study presents correlation and regression analysis. We have calculated boundary conditions that allow stabilizing the number of residents in region's districts, constructed dependencies that show the influence of transport services and average wages on the decrease in the population. The given estimates show how it is possible to stabilize the population of rural areas, which will help solve Russia's demographic problems in the long term.
