Study of wear resistance of coatings obtained by the combined method

Бесплатный доступ

The article presents the results of comparative tests of the wear resistance of combined coatings obtained by flame spraying with the complex application of plasma-electrolytic oxidation. Multilayer wear-resistant coatings were formed on samples made of corrosion-resistant steel 12Х18Н10T, which is widely used for the manufacture of equipment parts for processing industries of the agro-industrial complex. Aluminum-based coatings were applied by flame spraying, and then they were hardened by plasma-electrolytic oxidation. Strengthening of the sprayed coatings was carried out on an installation for plasma electrolytic oxidation in an electrolyte of the "KOH - Na2SiO3" type. The tests were carried out under conditions of boundary lubrication on a friction machine "ИИ-5018" according to the "block-roller" scheme. In the course of research, it was found that the wear resistance of the test coatings is 5 times higher than the wear resistance of corrosion-resistant steel, taken as a comparison standard. The obtained coatings are recommended for the restoration of worn-out parts of agro-industrial complex equipment of various nomenclature, made of corrosion-resistant steels.
