This article examines the effectiveness of design solutions for highway subgrades at different embankment heights on a weak foundation. The problem of constructing a subgrade on a weak foundation and the resulting unacceptable deformations in the form of uneven settlement and loss of stability are considered. A feasibility study was carried out for the construction of highway subgrades on a weak foundation by analyzing the effectiveness of design solutions at different embankment heights. Based on the calculations made for limit states, the volume of work for the construction of various versions of the roadbed was calculated. An analysis of the effectiveness of constructive solutions in various construction conditions was carried out, an efficiency graph was shown, on the basis of which a conclusion can be drawn about the effectiveness of constructive solutions of the subgrade.
