The researches ’ results ofpower characteristics of the experimental installation "The Electromagnetic Technological Reactor” of the research laboratory "Plasma and Power Technologies” of ESSUTM are reflected in the article on the basis of the measurements. The operation of the electromagnetic technological reactor (EMTR) is based on receiving fusion from ashes of thermal power plant, a cullet and basalt breeds for receiving from them heat-insulating materials by means of impact on them of an electric arch, like the electric arc steelmaking furnaces. Therefore, from the point of view of power characteristics, EMTR is significantly the nonlinear electroreceiver exerting negative impact on an electropower line. The spectrum study of harmonic currents and voltages and their amplitude on the input of power source, produced in three characteristic modes of melting, allows us to estimate the parameters used to select the protective switching and regulating equipment of the experimental installation, and the corresponding filters for optimizing power supply systems in the design and configuration of industrial plants of higher power and performance.
