Nowadays, excessive use of antibiotics in agriculture and medicine has led to the emergence of many strains of bacteria resistant to them. This is a serious problem for modern healthcare. A solution to the problem can be found in the process of developing alternatives to antibiotics. One such solution is phosphonium compounds, which show promising antibacterial properties and can become the basis for new methods of combating pathogens.
