Study of the world experience in designing museum and exhibition complexes with a marine theme in the framework of project on Petrovsky island St. Petersburg

A study was made of the projects of museum and exhibition complexes from the world design experience that meet the identified criteria. The town-planning, cultural and historical aspects that influenced the architectural design of the considered objects are considered. The main principles of the functional and planning organization of museum complexes with a marine theme are revealed. The results of the study were used to create a functional diagram for the project of the museum and exhibition complex on Petrovsky Island in St. Petersburg.
