Research on the training mode of translators of Russian for science and technology under the background of professionalism

Constant development of cooperation between China and Russia in the field of science and technology increases the need of China in professional translators from Russian into Chinese in technical sciences. In these conditions, it is very important to build an optimal model of translators’ training. The article presents some approaches to the structure of the model of training translators from Russian into Chinese in technical sciences at Harbin Polytechnic University. The model includes a target, content and procedural components, involving the implementation of a system of training courses, including the following elements: “professional core of knowledge, practical implementation, development of complex skills and abilities”. The pedagogical conditions of functioning of the model, which include the requirements for teaching staff, the system of management of the educational process and measures to assist students in the development of educational programs are described. The study was performed at Harbin Polytechnic University.
