Study of low-frequency shear elasticity of polymethylsiloxane liquid

Бесплатный доступ

According to the existing theories of liquids, shear elasticity should manifest itself at high megahertz frequencies. Low-frequency elasticity was detected in the laboratory. The study of the low-frequency shear elasticity of a polymethylsiloxane liquid by an acoustic resonance method using a piezoquartz resonator is carried out. The modulus of shear elasticity, effective viscosity and the tangent of the angle of mechanical losses at a frequency of shear vibrations of 73 kHz are determined.
