The article deals with the empirical study of the features of communicative competence of doctors of different profiles. The main objectives of the study are to reveal the content and structure of communicative competence, to analyze the features of professional communication between a doctor and a patient, to study communication barriers and methods for overcoming them in a medical organization, to select and analyze methods corresponding to the research problem, to conduct an empirical study aimed at studying the features of communicative competence of doctors of different profiles, to obtain research results and to formulate the main conclusions in a meaningful way. The efficiency of the relationships between a doctor and a patient depends on the doctor himself. The success of high-quality relationships is determined by the chosen communication strategy and conversation skills, the creation of partnerships with the patient. Thus, it can be said that in the context of considering healthcare organizations as a separate system within which a huge number of processes occurs, it is worth paying attention to the communication process between employees and patients as a set of many factors that influence these processes and ensure the unity of the interaction features. Practical significance of the work lies in the fact that the results of the study can be used to develop psychological programs to improve the communicative competence of doctors. This will improve the quality of medical professional activity, reduce the number of conflicts between the doctor and the patient. In addition, the results obtained may be of interest to teachers and students of humanitarian specialties.
