Discussing results of laser spot-weld research of high-carbon steel U10 billets. Research has proved that еhe maximum strength of the welded joint is achieved by forced cooling of the weld gas-aerosol mixture Ar2+H2O. The strength of the weld specimens of steel St3 does not depend on the coefficient of heat sink.
