The paper presents the results of a study of the dynamics of the development of communication networks as an element of marketing communications and a factor in attracting investment in the regional economy. The analysis of the statistical dynamics of key technical indicators of the implementation of communication tools is presented, such as the level of digitalization of local telephone networks; the amount of information transmitted from subscribers of fixed and mobile communication systems when accessing the Internet; the number of organizations using special software tools and others. The article examines the dependence of gross regional product indicators and the pace of development of technical elements of marketing communications. Based on the conducted research of key indicators, the author's recommendations are presented to ensure the progressive development of marketing communications in the process of stimulating investment and the development of the regional economy.
