The regional hemodynamics the damaged low extremity was studied by the technique of ultrasound Dopplerography in 34 patients with leg shaft fractures during external fixation with half-pin devices. It was demonstrated that the signs of arterial and venous insufficiency of the involved limb segment were noted throughout the period of treatment. The authors came to the conclusion about the necessity of control and correction of regional blood flow during fracture treatment by transosseous osteosynthesis technique.
