Study of the structural significance of functional elements of complex multimode objects

In the course of designing and creating complex reconfigurable multimode objects which, in particular, include onboard systems of a small spacecraft, an integral step for choosing its structural configuration is a criticality assessment of functional elements. To identify the failure criticality of object elements and subsystems, taking into account the structural and functional features, depending on the nature and intensity of the involved varying modes of its functionality, integral indicators for evaluating their structural significance are proposed. The calculation of the structural significance of functional elements is based on the concept of the parametric genome of the structure of complex multimode objects. The paper presents an illustrative example of calculating the structural significance of the functional elements of the motion control and navigation system of a small spacecraft for joint or separate activation of orientation modes with an equivalent or unequal intensity of their activation.
