Metalworking in modern mechanical production remains the most important technological means to ensure high standards for accuracy and quality of machine parts. At the same time as processing techniques and cutting tools are constantly being improved. In this connection there is the problem of determining the optimum cutting conditions for new materials with modern geometry of the NSR. Simulation was run with the study of temperature change on the front surface of the insert is happening when turning cast iron "Ni-Resist". To do this, the cutting process is simulated by Deform 2D and Deform 3D. Were obtained depending on describing the change of cutting temperature on the front surface of the processing conditions.
