Investigation of the elastic-plastic properties of leather semi-finished products

The paper presents the results of a study of elastic-plastic properties of the semi-finished product after leather processing, depending on the topographicing sites. The extreme light steer was the object. of the study. The quantitative characteristics of plasticity, softness, relative elastic recovery of blanket, neck,.stajna, flank were defined. The influence of the method of tanning on the elastic-plastic properties of the semi-finished product was shown. Tanning carried out using basic compounds are chromium (III) by various methods differing tanning compositions. Semifinished product has an increased ductility if it tanning in composition containing 50% of the hydrophobic portion. Inclusion of a new method of tanning in the technological scheme is possible if tanning composition contain of the hydrophobic portion to 10%.
