The study of the influence of letrosole on some factors of gormonal and metabolic status under experimental carcinogenesis of the mammary gland

In chronic experiments on rats the influence of the aromatase inhibitor letrozole on MNM-induced tumors of the mammary gland was studied. It was shown that letrosole rendered the expressed antitumor action, revealing in reduction of the frequency of the arising the tumors and lengthening of the latent period of their development. The essential role in mechanism of antitumor activity of letrosole can play the reduction the serum estradiol level and imbalance of some factors of lipid metabolism, revealed in the course of studies.
