Investigation of the influence of lubricating grease type on friction coefficient and wear rate of friction pair of corrosion-resistant steel and PTFE

Бесплатный доступ

The tribotechnical characteristics of 7 types of lubricating greases in the contact of corrosion-resistant steel vs polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE) have been studied. The friction properties of the greases were studied under conditions that correspond to the conditions at the rocking node located on the oxidant tract of Liquid Rocket Engines rudder servo. It has been shown that the average sliding friction coefficient is lowest with grease TOMFLON PEF 300. The other tested lubricants show poorer characteristics with respect to the average friction coefficient than TSIATIM-205 which is widely used in friction pairs of the rocking nodes of Liquid Rocket Engines rudder servo.
