Research of involvement of students from general and secondary vocational education organizations in the Chelyabinsk region in career guidance work

The article reveals the importance of career guidance work. The influence of a conscious choice of profession on the quality of professional training of graduates of professional educational organizations is also revealed. The article covers the principles of work on the implementation of the Concept of organizational and pedagogical support for professional self-determination of students in the Chelyabinsk region in 2021-2025 (hereinafter referred to as the Concept). Рriority areas of work of the career guidance community of the secondary vocational education system of the Chelyabinsk region are presented. They are implemented through well-coordinated interaction of professional educational organizations with pre-school, general education organizations, institutions of additional education, employment centers, enterprises of the city of Chelyabinsk and the region to build a full-fledged system of support for the professional self-determination of students. The article provides a brief analysis of the implementation of the main events of career guidance activities in professional educational organizations in the 2024 calendar year. The article summarizes the results of the involvement of students of general and secondary vocational education organizations of the Chelyabinsk region in career guidance activities for 2024 (in comparison with 2023), and presents the dynamics of the indicators. It is emphasized that the system of career guidance work in professional educational organizations of the Chelyabinsk region is complex, two-level, and the use of various forms of work and close cooperation with social partners helps schoolchildren in a conscious and responsible approach to choosing their professional path, and students in effective professional development and further successful employment. The materials of this study can be used to improve the effectiveness of management decisions aimed at improving the process of work on self-determination and career guidance of students in the Chelyabinsk region.
