The modern market of lighting products offers a great choice of energy-saving lamps of different manufacturers with various lighting characteristics and of a large range of prices. It is necessary to compare lighting options in order to evaluate whether they meet the declared characteristics and to identify the correspondence between the price and the quality of manufactured products. The main criterion of the optimal choice of energy-saving lamps is the ratio of luminous flux to power and the cost of the lamp. The lamps of three models: Camelion, Kosmos and Navigator with the power of 15 W were taken to evaluate the declared characteristics. All the tested lamps were manufactured in China. To compare the declared characteristics of the lamps mentioned above luminosity, power consumption, and run-up time at U = 220 W were measured. All the measurements were taken with the help of the material and technical resources of Orel State Agrarian University. Besides, luminous flux, luminous intensity, relative luminous flux and luminous efficiency were calculated. Moreover, the deviation of the calculated luminous flux and relative luminous flux from nominal indicators were calculated. Based on these results the deviation of the average calculated luminous flux from the nominal luminous flux was defined. Navigator 2700K lamps have the biggest average deviation from the nominal one and it is 708.18 lm, but Kosmos 6500K lamps have the smallest deviation that equals 302.97 lm. Besides, the deviation of the average relative luminous flux from the nominal relative luminous flux was measured. The calculation of the correlation coefficient was made depending on the luminous flux and the lamp power. Navigator 6500K lamps have the greatest dependence between the analyzed measures, Camelion 2700K lamps have the smallest dependence. Taking into account the results of the calculations we can come to the conclusion that Kosmos 2700K lamp is the most optimal lamp for a customer, as its relative luminous flux equals 0,702 lm (W×rub). Besides, we can add that the price of the compact fluorescent lamps is not the indicator of their correspondence with the declared lighting characteristics.
