One of the actual problems of water management systems operation is high energy consumption of pumping units in water supply systems. The results of the study of the intensity of the pump flow reduction with an increase in the hydraulic resistance of the network are presented. One of the indicators of pumping units in water supply systems is the ability to maintain a predetermined flow rate when the pressure changes. The article is devoted to the development of a method for calculating such an indicator. The solution of the problem on the example of pumps of ECV type is considered. To approximate the load characteristics, polynomials of the 3rd order are used. Received averaged lower rates of supply by increasing the required pressure.
