Research of the value core of modern Russian youth

The article analyzes modern research on the value core of Russian youth. Based on the application of quantitative and qualitative methods, Russian researchers have identified the values and value orientations of young people in the period 2019-2023. Based on the analysis of community content on the VKontakte social network and the Telegram messenger in 2023-2024, the researchers of the Financial University determined the hierarchy of value orientations of various types of youth communities. A meta-analysis of the literature has shown that the core value includes such values as love, family, material well-being, health, friendship, human rights, freedom, justice, development, security, self-realization. The researchers of the Financial University confirmed the presence of youth values of freedom, justice, security, self-realization, health, and material well-being in the hierarchy. At the same time, the high importance of the values of hedonism, patriotism, creativity, diversity, and openness to Western culture was established. It is possible to draw a conclusion about the hybrid nature of the value core of modern Russian youth. It includes both traditional and modernist values.
