The results of studies of deformation and dynamics of the ice cover of Lake Baikal on the basis of radar data and ground-based GPS-measurements. Speckle interferometry method determined the values and directions of the horizontal displacements of ice massifs in the southern basin and around peninsula Svyatoi, which are in good agreement with ground-based GPS-measurements.
