Fluids resistance research in Charles Bossuts scientific papers

The article deals with the analysis of experimental researches of fluids resistance by the example of Charles Bossuts works (18-th century). The experiments were made with the purpose to verify key statements of Newton Theory of Resistance as well as for formulization of practical recommendations on decreasing of resistance during navigation. Charles Bossuts experiment method was a model of experimental researches of that time. The value of the experiments results was in precision of measurements and generality of the obtained data, what let one use that during creation of mathematical theory of viscous fluid in 19-th century.
