The sources and history of the study of the Middle Volga and South Ural pit grave culture ceramic

The article is devoted to the topical problems of the study of the Pit grave culture ceramic of the Middle Volga and South Ural. Important additions and remarks to the description of the source base are offered. The analysis of the history of the Pit grave culture ceramic study is presented. The ceramic under study is a classic one for this culture. It demonstrates all types originated from the Volga Ural region as well as neighboring territories. Important conclusions about common and different traits in the ceramic of the Volga and Ural are made.
