Sources for the Study of Women’s Everyday Life at the Frontline during The Great Patriotic War

The article is devoted to the examination of sources for the study of women’s everyday life at the front during the Great Patriotic War. The author has identifi ed several main groups of historical sources on the problem, both published and stored in the fonds of federal and regional archives: act sources, offi ce records, electronic databases, periodicals, visual (war posters) and audiovisual sources (documentary and feature fi lms), sources of personal origin (published memoirs) and oral history materials. The author argues that only by using all available sources will it be possible to create a complete picture of everyday life of Soviet female front-line soldiers.
