The numismatic materials referred to the epoque of the Russian development of Siberia are regarded as a particular type of the archeological source, understanding and active study of which has always been relevant. The coins of the 18 th century are one of few categories of the objective complex provided with the non-biased origin dating. On the territory of Novosibirsk region, there are a large variety of the numismatics sources of this period. They include private collections, museum collections, materials of the archeological studies of dungeons (Umreva, Chaus dungeons), outposts (Ust-Tartas outpost), the Suzun mint, traffic arteries and buried treasures. The continuous subsequence of the governors - from Peter I till Pavel I - well represented in the numismatic materials of the 18 th century as well as the presence of coin treasures and mint provide broad possibilities to study the regional peculiarities of the Russian monetary system functioning starting from the Peter ’s the Great time.
