The source base for studying the new economic policy of the 1920s in Don and Kuban regions: revision of the methods of analysis

The paper explains the reasons and directions for rethinking the methods of historical source analysis of the New Economic Policy in the 1920s. In recent years, the large number of historical works has been published. Their authors tried to re-evaluate the significance of the 1920s New Economic Policy, reconsider the available records and archives. Nevertheless, the study notes that the renunciation of the exclusive domination of the Marxist methodology led to the subjective assessment caused by the interest of the humanities in the modern theories. The research identifies the historical sources classification of the 1920s New Economic Policy. The first introduced documents are defined, and the scope of their research application is described. The study reveals the features of the source base analysis of the subject matter in Don and Kuban regions.
