The origins and prospects of modern European identity formation

The European Union as a geopolitical integration project is experiencing a period of transformation, the emergence of which is due to the collision of two positions - the position of the supporters of European integration and the position of Eurosceptics. Despite the new context of implementation of warfare, its causes and possible solution lie in the ideological range of political and philosophical concepts inherent in the Foundation of European unification. Their critical analysis at the intersection of history and geopolitics, capable, in our view, to identify the key problems of the modern integration process and may open new promising mechanisms of transformation of the European community.
