Sergey Paradzhanov's film “The Color of Pomegranate” is multi-aspect and multi-component. Today it is interesting to us from the point of view of cognitive metaphors manifested in it. The screen version of Sayat-Nova’s poetic collection and his biography are closely related to the oral folklore of the Armenian people, the craftsmen that glorified the masters of Armenia (carpet weaving, winemaking, blacksmithing), the people’s spirituality and its centuries-old religious traditions. Christian motifs are reflected in the culture of the Armenian people in temple construction, in typography, in iconography. Family traditions, respect for the child, respect for parents, for creativity are emphasized by the centuries-old foundations of the culture of the Armenian people.
