Historical continuity of regional agrarian education

Education is one of the most sustainable social institutions of society and allows maintaining the achieved level and ensuring changes based on continuity. The purpose of the study is to determine the trends and main forms of historical continuity in the development of regional agricultural education. The object of the study is the State Agrarian University of the Northern Trans-Urals of the city of Tyumen, tracing its history back to the Tyumen Aleksandrovsky Real School, founded in 1879. The study used a historical and pedagogical approach. The research methodology included both historical and general scientific methods. The scientific novelty of the study consists in determining the trend of continuity of regional agricultural education, which consists in a consistent increase in the scientific, educational and all-Russian status of the educational institution in question while maintaining the value foundations of education of the agricultural intelligentsia at different stages of its formation. It has been established that continuity in the system of agricultural education is manifested in the system-activity approach to the system of functioning of the educational institution. The professionalism of the teaching staff, the preservation of the value norms laid down by the Russian pedagogical school and outstanding teachers-researchers, one of whom is rightfully considered the first director of the real school Ivan Yakovlevich Slovtsov, created the conditions for the transfer to subsequent generations of such pedagogical forms of continuity as a practice-oriented approach to teaching, group work with the student audience, expeditionary activities, museum, methodological and educational work aimed at the development of personal qualities and creative abilities of students.
