Historical determinants of democratization of the political system of Estonia

The article analyzes the establishment of modern political system in Estonia with the aim of systematization of basic factors, which determined successful democratical transit of this country in the post-soviet period. On the basis of the research of historical and modern political narrative, it is possible to determine main stages of state and national construction of Estonia. The author concludes that this country had a number of favorable factors for democratization, the most important of which are historical, political and cultural, and geopolitical.
