Бесплатный доступ

The article examines the formation and institutionalization of historical scholarship in Kyrgyzstan during the 1920s-1930s amid radical socio-political and economic transformations triggered by the victory of the Great October Socialist Revolution of 1917. It analyzes the main research directions: the study of revolutionary events, nation-state building, socio-economic transformations, and the Cultural Revolution, within the framework of Marxist-Leninist methodology and under the ideological oversight of the Communist Party. The contributions of leading researchers (A.N. Zorin, Ya.A. Chubukov, Aziz Niallo, and others), the source base, achievements, and limitations of historical scholarship during this period are considered. The role of historical studies in shaping a socialist worldview and national historiography is emphasized.
