Historical background of ethno-cultural education development in the Republic of Buryatia

In the article the author regards the historical aspects of the formation and development of ethno-cultural education in the Republic of Buryatia. Questions of ethno-cultural education are disclosed in connection with the history of the national school. Based on the analysis of the main stages in the development of national Buryat school the author describes the ethnic and cultural content of modern educational models.
