XIX century historical events in modern cultural landscape of Yakutsk

The article examines the forms of memory manifestation in the urban space and cultural landscape of Yakutsk, using the example of places of memory. Historical memory is a special form of manifestation of history in modernity, which, within the framework of human activity, form society's ideas about the past. The purpose of this article is to consider and analyze the place of historical events and personalities of the XIX century in the modern cultural landscape of Yakutsk. The study of this issue should begin with the study of the history of the city of Yakutsk. Thus, those places of memory that are associated with the history of Yakutia of the XIX century are considered. Their brief description and related historical events are given. Based on this, the author proposes to divide the places of memory into groups, depending on their manifestation in the cultural landscape of the regional center.
