Historical aspect of formation and development of operative - search activity in Russia

In this article the stages of formation and development of operational-search activity in Russia are investigated. The author studied the process of formation and development of investigative activities and identified several periods: 1) the investigation IX - XVII centuries; 2) the formation process of the detective business in the era of Peter the XVII - XVIII centuries; 3) development of investigative activities during the reform of XIX - XX centuries; 4) the period of the revolutionand of the Soviet Union, 1917 - 1991; 5) the current stage of development ofoperational-investigative activity.
