Historical experience of use of internal agency and service of external surveillance of Moscow security department

The article presents a historical analysis of the organization of certain aspects of police work in the city of Moscow, the goal-setting of which was to carry out general supervision of «dubious elements» and participants in various kinds of political and terrorist organizations in Russia on the eve of the 1917 revolution.
