Historical study of local lore in the context of modern humanitarian knowledge

Modern methodological situation in the domestic humanitarian knowledge is under analysis. It is underlined, that one of the indices in this sphere is the appearance of new scientific trends - historic localistics and regionalistics. On the example of scientific analysis of historic and local lore research of the Kurgan historians, made in 1991, an attempt to determine the place of historic local lore study in the system of humanitarian knowledge is made.
