Historical thinking and its specific aspects in the humanities scholar activities

The study deals with the phenomenon of historical thinking and its specific aspects in the activities of the humanities scholar. Focusing on visual and verbal arts, the authors develop the category of the historical and cultural way of thinking of a person that contributes to the immersion in the semantic space of various cultural texts. In general, due to the historical and cultural way of thinking, a person is freely guided in the artistic and historical environment, the strategic line is chosen, methods and thought processes that are necessary for understanding the diverse art samples being the sign of their time are updated. The research is based on the case study of student works created in Krasnodar State Institute of Culture and Kuban State Agrarian University. These are the pictures of E. Zhukova, the poems of V. Kostyanov, and the essays of O. Babaritsky which update the cultural dialogue that is forged across cultures, eras, and destinies of their creators.
