In the contemporary educational paradigm, historical education using regional mate-rial has become especially relevant, aiming to cultivate civic identity and respect for cultural heritage among the younger generation. The article examines pedagogical practices in preschool institutions of the Republic of Buryatia for introducing older preschool children to the historical and cultural heritage of the Semeiskie Old Believ-ers. Museum pedagogy, integrated into the educational process, is highlighted as a key tool. The article analyzes the implementation of the regional project Introducing Pre-school Children to the Historical, Cultural, and Spiritual Values of the Semeiskie of the Republic of Buryatia, in which 15 preschool educational institutions have partici-pated since 2023. Key challenges were identified, including the lack of a systematic methodological framework and underdeveloped material-spatial environments. Suc-cessful practices are summarized, such as the creation of mini-museums, interactive engagement with exhibits, use of folklore, thematic excursions, and active involve-ment of children’s families. The study concludes that museum pedagogy is an effective means of historical educa-tion, contributing to the preservation of the unique cultural code of the Semeiskie of Buryatia and fostering a value-based attitude toward the history of the native region among preschoolers.
