The history of the Chinese organized crime in the Russian Far East at the turn of the XXI century (case study of Khabarovsk territory): historical reconstruction

The article deals with the history of the Chinese organized crime in the Russian Far East and the historical and cultural roots of this phenomenon. It is shown that organized crime is an entrenched social institution performing certain economic functions. The author discusses the problems caused by the organized crime.
