History of Khakassia in persons: graduates of the Communist University for Workers of the East (1921-1938) (problem statement)

The article is devoted to the study of life activities of the graduates of the Communist University for Workers of the East (KUTV) in 1920-1930 who came from Khakassia. The author of the article states that they were rather ordinary, not outstanding people. Nevertheless, they made their significant mark in the history of Khakassia, but their names have been unjustly forgotten. The article states that there is a lack of research on the subject in the regional historiography. At the present stage of the historical science development the research of the biographies of this pleiad of people is of particular importance. At the same time, the archival materials from the Russian State Archive of Social and Political History funds by means of which it is possible to restore the biographical data of the participants of modernization processes in Khakassia, are becoming distant from the researchers. Due to the fact that the archival funds are taken away, only their digitized copies are accessible. Great difficulties arise with the usage of documents of regional and private archives. In the course of the repressive policies of the state, many family archives were destroyed and the photographs were not saved. Regional archives contain scanty data on the activity of some graduates of the KUTV upon their return to Khakassia.
