The history of crying among the Turkic-speaking peoples and their role today

This article examines and explores the history of mourning traditions among the Turkic-speaking peoples, their application in life at the present time, as well as provides examples of lamentations from the oral folk art of the Turkic-speaking peoples. There is no doubt that the similarity of customs, traditions, literature and general culture, of which the oral literary heritage is closely related to the main three stages of human life - birth, family creation and the end of life - death. During the study of crying, we witnessed that the most important moments of life become the foundation of folk art. The article considers the fact that the culture of fraternal peoples who settled in different places over time is mixed with the traditions and rituals of that area, and as a result, oral folk art is developing, even their names, content, rhythm, forms and structure are undergoing changes.
