History of the development of cargo transportation and safety of cargo carried in the Kemerov region in the postwar decades

The article discusses and analyzes the history of the development of freight traffic and the safety of transported goods in the Kemerovo region in the post-war decades. The source base of the work is the materials of the State Archive of Kuzbass, materials of the periodical press, statistical information. On the basis of primary sources, the article studies the system of cargo transportation in the period from 1946 to 1966. Problems such as personnel and the lack of a sufficient material base are analyzed. In conclusion, the authors identify three stages in the development of the cargo transportation system. Only in the 1960s. succeeded in creating and stabilizing the freight transportation system.
