History of development and feature of the Russian patronage

The article is devoted to topical social and cultural problem - the history of development and the essential features of Russian patronage. The author stresses the great role of this phenomenon in the development of Russian culture. Fundamentally important is that selfless philanthropic activity is inextricably linked to best beginnings of the spiritual life of the Russian people that it is impossible to imagine without the traditions of charity.
