History of religious beliefs of Northwestern Caucasus’ highlanders in the creative works of Adygh enlighteners in the early 20th century

On the basis of works of Adygh enlighteners of the early twentieth century the article researches one of the main problems of the Adygh historiography: the history of religious beliefs of the Northwestern Caucasus’ highlanders. The author assesses contribution of the enlighteners in the formulation and development of the scientific issues concerning the problem.
